HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1 - INTRODUCTION
You contact us. We offer a free, no-obligation consultation to determine what kind of car you are looking for, your budget, and how quickly you need the vehicle. If necessary, we also investigate financing and trade-in options. This consultation is usually initiated online using our secure server or by faxing an application.

STEP 2 - CONTRACT
When all the details regarding the desired vehicle(s) are finalized, we provide you with a contract for the purchase. This contract, among other things, details the maximum price you will pay. The contract will outline an amount for a deposit, usually 10-20% of the price of the vehicle, that is fully refundable if we do not hand over the keys to you within a specified amount of time...usually 5-7 business days. The deposit may be paid by cash, certified funds, or credit card.

STEP 3 - ORDER FULFILLMENT
Once your contract is signed and the deposit is paid, we immediately begin searching nationwide wholesale channels to locate your vehicle. We carefully research a vehicle's history, condition, and quality prior to purchase. Once the best possible deal (considering quality, options, location, and price) has been located, we purchase the vehicle in your behalf.

STEP 4 - PREP
When the vehicle is delivered to our premises, we immediately initate a 100+ point check on various mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle. We also fully clean, polish and wax/protect all surfaces and will correct any minor blemishes as outlined in the contract. An oil change is always performed, as well as any other maintenance items that may be required based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. All such services to be performed will be outlined in the contract.

STEP 5 - DELIVERY
After all prep is complete, we are ready to make delivery. For Tampa Bay area customers, we normally deliver the vehicle to your home or office and take care of all paperwork right there. Some customers choose to come into our showroom (directions). Some out-of-state customers fly in, where we meet them at the Tampa airport and take care of the paperwork in the airport hotel lobby. Still others prefer to take care of all paperwork via overnight shipping, wherein we deliver their vehicle to a transport company who then delivers the vehicle to their front door.

STEP 6 - REFERRALS
To keep our overhead low, Tampa Bay Used Cars does very limited advertising. Virtually all of our new customers come to us because they heard about the great experience their friend, co-worker, or relative had with us.
